Tim's First Band - The Plague

The Plague, Tim's first band at John Marshall Jr. High School, Seattle, WA, 1968. Their very first gig, a Battle of the Bands
vs. The Liberty 5, a high school age band from Lincoln High.
This was a dance in the basement of the
Greenlake Methodist Church.
The prize money was $5.00--sadly, The Plague lost.

To celebrate graduation, the 9th grade class of John Marshall Jr. High threw a dance in the gym at the Greenlake Recreation Center. With several gigs under their belt by this time, The Plague was ready for yet another Battle of the Bands, this time vs. their John Marshall rivals, The Third Movement. Another non-paying gig but this time, The Plague dominated.
In this next incarnation, Harvey Besaw is replaced
by Dan Baker on lead guitar, Tim has switched to bass & Tom Matz is playing organ.

And the rest, as they say, is history...
